More than one thousand people came to the event held in Santiago of Chile, which was
led by some of the most relevant Chilean designers, Argentinians and Latin Americans from the industry.
The second edition of Andes Fashion Week Chile was held with great success (AFW Chile), a fashion
event, art and networking, which for three days brought together leading exponents of design and
art at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel on Av. Kennedy, in the most exclusive area from the Chilean
capital, where more than one thousand people arrived, witnessing an impressive fashion show.
Industry figures, fashion representatives, international authorities from various embassies,
influencers and associated brands met in the event, which also made possible the networking among
who are now part of this world, which every year moves billions of dollars around the globe.
Among the established and emerging designers who participated in this version were: Benito
Fernández (Argentina), Mercedes Campuzano (Colombia,) Enzo y Eduardo KOII (Venezuela), Lupe
Gajardo – she was even in charge of the inaugural fashion show – (Chile), Bad Sisters (Chile), Emma
(Perú), Jo & Fire (Chile), José Armán (Chile), Mimichmo (República Dominicana), Mundana (México),
Pacífico Swimwear (Chile), Somos Marcon (Argentina), Susana Arredondo (Chile), Yako (Estados
Unidos), Faiza Antri Bouzar (Argelia), the winning duo of RFD, Euge Lemos By Epson
(Chile/Argentina), she made her debut as a designer at this event; and Leti Faviani who returned to
the catwalks with her RenaSer collection.
They were joined by important international guests such as: Albania Rosario (FDLA/NYFW), Chris
Lavish ( Director Global de Fashion Week Online), Kika Rocha (Director fashion and beauty of People
in Spanish), y Xaviera Salazar (Soychabacano Fashion Audiovisual Communicator) who were part of
the international front row. Also Grecia Reyes and Jack Ramos attended, Durango Fashion Week
Mexico Directors; and Johana Fernandez, Runway Fashion Design Director from Chile. In addition,
among the 64 participating models, two revelation faces stood out: Ana Juarez and Heloise
Constance from Mauleon of Bruyeres.
In the event’s closing, the Founder and General Director of the AFW Chile, Leticia Faviani
highlighted ‘’I am pleased to have achieved this second edition, along with a great team and the
result we got. There is no doubt, we had a great commitment as an organization before the designers
and the country. After a first edition which was accomplished as a great beginning, nevertheless it
opened the expectation in the industry as a premium and international event. This time, the
challenge of improvement and growth was fulfilled. We increase catwalk days, we received national
and international acclaimed and emerging talents, the participation of associations which have
worked restlessly for the fashion in the country; the trust and endorsing from international and
official organisations as Prochile and Embassies from United States and Argelia in this opportunity,
the connection with personalities from art like musicians, dancers and other stars from here who
made art possible and the view and participation of the businessworld from different areas which are
growing on each edition, however it is showing us that we are obtaining our goals, internationalizing
and professionalizing the fashion from Chile to the world and encourage to become a leading figure
as art that connects naturally and positively stories, brands, talents and artist who needed to
encounter and connect. Now we are working hard to announce our next edition will be held next
spring-summer season in November of this year’’
The second edition of Andes Fashion Week Chile said goodbye, consolidating itself as the pinnacle of
Chilean and international fashion, it is already preparing the third version to be developed in
November of this year, hoping to convene more international designers.
