A Couture Presence at FEFF 2026

Actress Fan Bingbing appeared at the 2026 Far East Film Festival wearing her second look from PHAN HUY’s “Cành Vàng Lá Ngọc” couture collection.

Held in Udine, Italy, the festival honored Fan Bingbing as one of two Asian artists to receive the Golden Mulberry Award, recognizing her remarkable contributions and achievements in cinema across a 30-year career spanning more than 100 film and television productions.

For the occasion, she selected a couture design by PHAN HUY, first unveiled during Paris Haute Couture Week earlier this year.

LOOK DETAILS

The gown is constructed in a sculptural column silhouette with a subtle flared movement, rendered in a refined taupe tone.

Its asymmetrical structure is defined through a diagonal neckline and a draped mesh panel gathered from the waist toward the hips, creating fluid movement and a softly architectural form.

Thousands of hand-applied stones and crystals are intricately embellished across the surface, creating a visual illusion inspired by the language of pleating and draping techniques.

Rooted in the spirit of “Cành Vàng Lá Ngọc”, the collection draws inspiration from iconic figures of the Nguyễn Dynasty, including Emperor Khải Định, Empress Nam Phương, and Crown Prince Bảo Long.

Through the interplay of Nguyễn Dynasty architecture and Art Deco geometry, PHAN HUY reinterprets heritage through a contemporary couture lens, balancing historical resonance with modern refinement.

A CONTINUING COUTURE NARRATIVE

Prior to this appearance, Fan Bingbing also wore another couture look from the collection during The First Sparkle on Siam event in Bangkok, Thailand.

The design embodied noble elegance through cascading 3D voile leaves transitioning from white to lilac, delicately edged in gold and adorned with violet crystal embellishments.
