PARIS — Studio Nicholson marked a defining milestone during Paris Fashion Week with the presentation of its Spring/Summer 2027 collection, “This Is Who We Are,” the label’s first dedicated runway show after 16 years of steadily refining its distinctive approach to contemporary dressing. Founder and Creative Director Nick Wakeman described the presentation as an opportunity to celebrate the brand’s evolution, allowing audiences to experience the movement, craftsmanship, and precision of garments beyond static imagery while introducing Studio Nicholson to an even broader international audience.

The collection remains deeply rooted in the brand’s philosophy of elevated essentials, balancing architectural tailoring with effortless wearability. References span cinema, architecture, photography, and music, from Charlotte Rampling and Isabella Rossellini to Tadao Ando, Duane Michals, and romantic soundtracks, creating a mood that feels quietly intellectual rather than overtly nostalgic. Relaxed safari shirts, minimalist pencil skirts, structured Mackintosh outerwear, Fireman’s jackets, and refined leather pieces reinforce the label’s commitment to timeless design over seasonal trends.
Tailoring and trousers continue to define Studio Nicholson’s identity. Wakeman revisits the iconic Sorte pant in an elevated bonded gabardine while introducing the Alwyn unisex Japanese denim jean, the sleek Albany and fluid Afton trousers for women, and new menswear silhouettes including the heritage wool Taunton and softly curved Cessna utility pant. Across every look, styling remained intentionally restrained, allowing fabric, construction, and silhouette to take center stage without distraction.
Spring/Summer 2027 also introduces a refreshed visual identity for the British label. A new logo and typography, anchored by Paul Barnes’ Antique No.6 typeface, reflect the maturity of a brand that has consistently refined wardrobe classics since its founding in 2010. Alongside the rebrand, Studio Nicholson significantly expands its accessories offering with kitten-heel pumps, leather flip-flops, canvas espadrilles, the new Franklin grained leather backpack, and an expanded outerwear selection developed in collaboration with Mackintosh. By Spring 2027, the company expects to operate sixteen Studio Nicholson stores worldwide, underscoring its continued global growth.
Reflecting on the label’s sixteen-year journey, Wakeman described Studio Nicholson as a brand built on rigor, consistency, and subtlety—one that continually revisits its own visual language while perfecting familiar forms rather than chasing novelty. That disciplined philosophy remains at the heart of Spring/Summer 2027, reaffirming Studio Nicholson’s position as one of Britain’s most quietly influential voices in contemporary luxury fashion.
