MICAM 100: A Historic Celebration of Italian Footwear, Innovation, and Global Style

by

The 100th edition of MICAM, chaired by Giovanna Ceolini, will open in Milan from September 7–9 with a special stamp cancellation ceremony in the presence of Minister Urso, honoring the “Excellences of the Italian Productive System and Made in Italy.” MICAM 100 will spotlight SS26 collections from top global brands and iconic Italian manufacturers, featuring product launches, fashion shows, emerging designers, and trend presentations. A special exhibition, “100 Steps into the Future,” will take visitors through five decades of footwear history, featuring two symbolic models per decade—one lifestyle and one performance-driven. The show will also bring back the Trends & Materials area and Future of Retail space, highlighting next-gen retail ideas and advanced tech solutions. MICAM Next, curated by Wired, will host innovation-driven talks like “E-commerce & New Tech,” “Shoe Design & Customization,” “At the Feet of AI,” and “Sport Shoes, Tech Shoes.” This edition also marks the 80th anniversary of Assocalzaturifici, the national association representing over 500 Italian footwear companies. A double milestone that makes MICAM 100 a once-in-a-generation celebration of legacy, creativity, and the future of fashion.
