For his Haute Couture Winter 2025/2026 collection, Franck Sorbier turns to legend—specifically the enduring myth of El Dorado. Drawing from the golden rituals of the Andean world, the lost grandeur of the Inca Empire, and the drama of colonial conquest, Sorbier creates a collection that is both poetic and powerful.
Gold dominates the palette: seen in metallic organzas, sculpted clay accessories, and crushed velvets in earthy tones. Pieces like “Inti” and “Atahualpa” evoke sacred ritual through intricate handwork, while silhouettes referencing conquistadors and baroque saints add theatrical richness. Pastel beadwork, lace mosaics, and layered fabrics lend each look the weight of a historical artifact reborn through fashion.
More than just beauty, L’Eldorado is a statement. Sorbier reaffirms his ethical stance against the use of fur, and envisions a couture practice grounded in integrity, culture, and artistry.
In L’Eldorado, myth becomes material. Each garment is a story—crafted, not imagined.
