SHIATZY CHEN SPRING/SUMMER 2026 COLLECTION

by Lavish Staff

An unceasing force gallops across the wilderness like a horse, raising dust and wind, symbolizing a surging

inner drive. Embodying both grace and power, freedom and speed, the silhouette of the horse becomes the

spiritual emblem of this season, racing endlessly on the path toward ultimate beauty.

Unveiling the SS2026 collection at the Paris Fashion Week on October 6, Paris time, SHIATZY CHEN

transforms the Oriental saying of “the horse unstill” into designs.

Infused with the free spirit of the 1970s, this collection illustrates the romantic, airy and liberated images of

women. Decoding the runway, an exuberance of the abstract Bohemia is constructed. Multidirectional brilliance

unfolds like impromptu dance moves, blooming with rebellious wildness as models charge forward like

horses breaking into a boundless realm. Harboring the free spirit while nurturing the imaginations of the

horse East and West, the Horse atop the Flying Swallow in the East gathers speed and agility, while the

Winged Steed in the West carries dreams and strength; reserved and profound in one, candid and radiant in

the other, together they resonate and shape the unique aura of the Eastern Hippie spirit in this collection.

This collection sees the elegance and speed of the horse echoing the romantic rebellion of the hippies from

the late 60s to the 70s. The palette draws on tobacco brown, coffee, verbena blue-violet, and black and

white, interwoven with vibrant fuchsia, cobalt, and folkloric stone hues, shades reflecting the carefree

wanderings of hippies under the sun and the dazzling disco neons of the night. Silhouettes revolve around

cinched and flared lines: womenswear highlights flared pants with vests, or lace shirts paired with soft

bottoms, a languid “long-on-long” layering, relaxed yet structured suits in soft fabrics. Meanwhile,

menswear extends into mesh tops, chunky knit vests, jodhpur shorts, leather pants, patched tassels, cargo

curves and cropped jackets, all paired with bell-bottoms. The materials and craftsmanship continue the spirit

of hippie handwork, with cross-stitch and ribbon embroidery details enriching the designs. Chiffon, lace and

twill cotton-linen prints sway with each step. Saddle curves form pocket structures, while lace shorts trace

the airy bounce. Mix and match in styling embody the free spirit: vintage wear pairing with flared pants;

crochet bikinis clashing with suits; tassels meeting denim; and pajamas deviating from formal wear; all to

display contrast woven in harmony. From the poetic languor of daytime hippies to the psychedelic glow

beneath the disco ball of Studio 54, this collection writes the female multiplicity with a language that is both

soft and strong, condensing “the free spirit through a contemporary Oriental perspective.”

Continuing the equestrian spirit, the accessories also see a fusion of hippie flair: triangular braided silk

scarves turning into headbands, neckerchiefs or bag adornments, exuding a sensuality of the ‘70s;

saddle-inspired arcs define bag silhouettes with metal clasps and layered dimensional structures. Leather

materials span suede, top-grain finishes and grained textures, shaping that natural ease. Jewelry draws

inspiration from bits and horseshoes, reimagined as earrings, necklaces, brooches and belts, highlighting the

symbols of the collection.

Footwear introduces reinterpreted Mary Janes, platform sandals, and brogues with perforated details and

metallic horseshoe clasps.

Wildness within serenity and fire within poetry, the lyrical freedom knows no boundary. The rebellion of the

‘70s hippie and the romance of Bohemia intertwine with the SHIATZY Oriental elegance. Silk and tassels

drape softly over horseback, tender yet untamed, classic yet modern. Flowing like the wind, the 2026 SS

Unstill crystallizes the romance and resilience of the female soul, blossoming endlessly between heaven and earth.
