JITROIS Autumn/Winter 2026–2027 — “Paris After Dark: The Urban Romantics”
For AW26/27, Jitrois explores the allure of Paris at night—where shadow, desire, and movement define a new generation of “Urban Romantics.” The collection centers the body as both presence and expression, with the house’s signature stretch leather acting as a second skin—sculpting silhouettes while allowing total freedom of movement.
Under the creative vision of Tristan Van Bruwaene and Jay Wilson, with artistic direction by Jean-Claude Jitrois, the collection revisits core house codes: sensual precision, architectural tailoring, and the intimate dialogue between skin and leather. Drawing from historic nightlife influences—from London’s New Romantics to Paris’s Le Palace—and collaborations with iconic imagery, the collection bridges legacy with a modern, nocturnal edge.
Key looks include zipped leather jumpsuits, sculpted dresses, corsetry, and sharply tailored jackets and coats. Sheer fabrics, lace, and open constructions introduce contrast and sensuality, while embroidery inspired by Parisian wrought-iron balconies reinforces the architectural narrative.
The palette mirrors the rhythm of the night: deep black, rich burgundy, intense red, flashes of gold, electric blue, and deep green.
For Jitrois, night is not just a setting—it is a state of being. A moment where identity shifts, silhouettes sharpen, and the body becomes both power and possibility.
